How is facial recognition data handled?
After a face is detected and cropped on your device, it is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) communication to Amazon Rekognition, a service of Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS), where it is converted into a facial feature vector and used to match people. Photos are stored on Amazon S3. Data is not used for any other purpose and is not shared with any other third party. Deleting a person’s data in the app also deletes the corresponding data on the server. Can people under 13 use it?
This app is not intended for anyone under 13. It is available to users aged 13 and older.
Can I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime from iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
Where is my data stored?
Data is stored both locally on your device and on cloud servers on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Photos are stored on Amazon S3 and face data on Amazon Rekognition (both in the AWS Tokyo region), and everything syncs over HTTPS-encrypted communication.
Is there an Android version?
Currently only an iOS version is available. An Android version is under consideration for the future.
