Terms of Service (Contacts+)

These Terms apply to all users of the App. By using the App, users are deemed to have agreed to all provisions of these Terms.

The App provides the following features.

• Registering and managing information about people (name, notes, tags, etc.)
• Searching for and matching people using facial recognition technology
• Taking, storing, and managing photos
• Classifying and filtering people by tags

• Using the App requires account registration through SMS verification
• Users must register an accurate phone number
• Users are responsible for managing their own account information

4.1 Plans

The App offers the following subscription plans.

4.2 Billing and payment

• Subscription payments are processed through Apple’s App Store
• Your Apple ID account is charged for the subscription at the time of purchase confirmation
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period

4.3 Cancellation

• You may cancel your subscription at any time
• Cancellation can be done from iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
• After cancellation, you may continue to use the service until the end of the period you have already paid for
• We do not provide prorated refunds for cancellation partway through a billing period

4.4 Free trials

Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Users shall not engage in any of the following conduct.

• Use for the purpose of infringing the rights of others
• Registering or searching for a third party’s facial photo without that person’s consent
• Stalking, harassment, or any other unlawful purpose
• Unauthorized use, reverse engineering, or tampering with the App
• Placing an excessive load on the App’s servers
• Any other act that violates laws or public order and morals

Registering or searching for another person’s facial photo without their consent may constitute an infringement of privacy or portrait rights. Please use the App in compliance with applicable law.

• The facial recognition feature uses Amazon Rekognition, a service provided by Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS)
• Facial recognition accuracy is not 100%, and incorrect results may be returned
• When using the facial recognition feature, please give due consideration to the privacy of the people being photographed
• Users are responsible for using the facial recognition feature in a manner that complies with applicable law

Intellectual property rights relating to the App belong to the operator. Rights to content registered by users (photos, text, etc.) belong to the user.

• The App is provided "as is." The operator does not warrant its completeness, accuracy, reliability, or fitness for any particular purpose
• The operator shall not be liable for any damages arising from use of the App, to the extent permitted by law
• The service may be temporarily unavailable due to communication environment issues, server failures, or similar causes
• The operator may change the content of the service or discontinue it without prior notice

The handling of data shall be governed by the separately published Privacy Policy.

• The operator may change these Terms
• The revised Terms take effect once notice has been given by display within the App or by another appropriate method
• Continued use of the App after such a change constitutes agreement to the revised Terms

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive agreed jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
